This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a proactive approach to business development and customer service.Position Requirements:The incumbent must be flexible and adaptable to the changes rapidly affecting this position. A minimum of 5 years' experience with a proven acumen in lumber and building materials sales or related construction field is required along with a strong knowledge of construction methods and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational abilities. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to customer sites.Duties Include:Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, providing expert consultation on product selection, design specifications, and application.Represent Rings End's full portfolio of products, including, but not limited to lumber, engineered lumber (TJI's, LVL's), windows, doors, millwork, siding, roofing, decking, and related materials.Collaborate closely with inside sales, design, and estimating teams to develop accurate and comprehensive project proposals.Partner with architects, designers, and engineers to interpret drawings, specifications, and scope requirements for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building with industry professionals.Conduct on-site visits to identify opportunities, resolve field issues, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout all project phases.Prepare detailed sales contracts, quotations, and follow-up documentation in alignment with company standards and policies.Deliver professional presentations and product demonstrations that communicate the value, performance, and design advantages of Rings End products.Continuously expand knowledge of products, installation methods, and evolving building codes to remain a trusted technical resource for customers.Contribute to team growth by mentoring less experienced sales associates and sharing best practices.Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports, and forecasts for management review.Provide feedback to marketing/purchasing concerning the market needs for new improved products and services, changes in competitive policies, and strategies relating to products and markets, channels of distribution, advertising and promotion, pricing and sales activityHold yourself to Ring's Ends core values of Integrity, Passion, Pride, Accountability and Community.
