Job description

Senior Systems Engineer

Position Overview

IS4S is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support an IFF Transponder software program for US Army and US Navy. Responsible for maintaining requirements and ICDs related to a Common Translator product that translates communications between existing aircraft software and a new Transponder system. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Excellent 1553 knowledge
  • Familiarity and experience of 1553 bus monitoring
  • 1553 ICD experience (understanding and creating/updating them)
  • Ability to take the lead in visits to customer/partner labs for 1553 ICD reverse engineering and limited testing for system check-out and problem resolution
  • Requirements management
  • Take ownership of existing requirements and traceability baseline and update as necessary
  • DOORS experience preferred (requirements and traceability are maintained in DOORS Next Gen)
  • Provide systems engineering support to SW and test teams
