Key Objective(s):
The main purpose of the Operations Maintenance Technician is:
  • To ensure guests at American Dream have a positive shopping and entertainment experience. This position is accountable for maintaining all areas of facility in good repair (interior and exterior).

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform Marketing set ups, including stanchions, stages, chairs, and special assembly or construction for events.
  • Perform specified carpentry work throughout the facility in designated areas, in particular door and door hardware.
  • Performs commercial plumbing repairs and clears drain stoppages.
  • Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.
  • Performs landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming, and watering.
  • Performs snow removal duties using tractor with plow, snow blower or shovel.
  • Empties ash and trash containers and removes waste to appropriate areas.
  • Ensures the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.
  • Uses power washers to clean exterior areas.
  • Assist with small maintenance repairs in parking garages such as gate arm replacements, sign repair, and changing of exterior lighting.
  • Paint communal areas, offices, and service corridor walls.
  • May operate motorized Cushman cart to haul debris from areas to recycling center.
  • Always provide outstanding internal and external guest service.
  • Maintain and repair American Dream property.
  • Provides support and assistance to maintenance team members and other departments as requested by supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a trade or vocational school program in building maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One to Three years' experience in building maintenance position required.
  • Strong knowledge and exhibited work experience in carpentry.
  • Knowledge of ceramic tile repair and installation helpful.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance industry.
  • Ability to operate Arial lifts to 35.'
  • Must have at least 6 months previous experience using outdoor maintenance equipment such as tractors, mowers, weed trimmers, and snow removal equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the safe handling and operation of equipment and materials used in landscape maintenance and custodial duties.
  • Ability to work variable and/or rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to understand simple verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform some or all of the physical tasks involved in lifting, driving, sweeping, mowing and related exterior custodial/maintenance duties.
