Description

SAIC is seeking a top-notch Space Planner to join our talented team in Aurora, Colorado. This position is responsible for developing enterprise-wide policy regarding space and ensure the customer is utilizing their space most effectively.  To qualify for this role, you must have an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

SAIC provides full-service facility management support to a major organization in the Intelligence community. We conduct end-to-end project management and facility engineering functions for locations throughout the world.  At the HQ-level we perform all manner of planning, programming, and execution oversight for a portfolio in the hundreds of millions per year.

Responsibilities for the Space Planner include:

  • Support and coordinate with the real property team
  • Reporting progress towards performance metrics for facility optimization and utilization
  • Performing site surveys and annual needs assessment updates with input from all stakeholders
  • Developing alternative courses of action and make recommendations to senior leadership
  • Maintain space utilization data in the identified enterprise software system
  • Participate and provide inputs, when necessary, for the assortment of enterprise-wide space meetings to ensure stakeholders are informed and all activities are coordinated
  • Create the policy for internal move activities

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required and candidates must have this to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years professional experience, Masters with 7 years experience or PhD with 4 years experience. Note: Additional years professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IC or DOD or 10 years in the Commercial Sector
  • Below experience could be included within 5 or 10 years of experience, respectively, above:
    • 2+ years of experience using Archibus to analyze and report of space
    • 2+ years of experience using BOMA, or similar, standards for determining usable space 
    • 2+ years of AutoCad experience
    • 2+ years overseeing and managing facility projects (moves, designs, and/or construction)
  • Willingness to take the initiative and support the customer without direction
  • Focus on Customer Service
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally, orally, and in writing/presentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Architectural or Interior Design Field
  • Project Management Institutes’ PMP or equivalent project management certification
