Summary:
Ready Foods is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to champion workplace safety and health across our facilities. This role is critical in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and protecting the well-being of our team. If you are passionate about creating safe work environments and leading continuous improvement, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and maintain Ready Foods' Safety and Health Programs to ensure full OSHA compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen our safety culture.
  • Oversee OSHA regulatory and site-specific safety training requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Monitor, track, and report safety metrics and trends.
  • Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings and develop committee members.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Plant Manager to evaluate work practices and ensure safe, compliant conditions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to embed safety into daily operations.
  • Assist in creating annual safety training materials and incident-related corrective training.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing safety programs.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design and implement effective safety programs.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Preferred Certifications:

    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
    • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
    • First Aid/CPR Certification
