General Job Description
IES Residential is looking for a passionate and experienced Safety Coordinator to help lead and elevate our safety culture across operations in Texas and surrounding markets. This isn't just a compliance role, it's an opportunity to make a real impact by protecting teams, shaping job site practices, and championing safety every single day.

What You'll Do
  • Lead job site safety inspections and proactively identify risks
  • Partner with leadership to build and reinforce a safety-first mindset
  • Deliver engaging safety trainings and lead impactful toolbox talks
  • Investigate incidents and drive solutions that prevent future risks
  • Support and participate in OSHA inspections with confidence
  • Serve as the go-to safety expert for both field teams and management
  • Communicate safety policies clearly and effectively across all levels
  • Monitor compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices
  • Assist with safety documentation, reporting, and corrective action follow-up
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of safety experience (construction experience preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • OSHA 500 Certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to influence, lead, and collaborate across teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required

Bonus Points
  • Residential or commercial construction industry experience
  • First Aid/CPR Instructor certification
  • Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills
  • Experience conducting safety training and incident investigations

Location & Travel
  • Home Base: San Antonio, TX
  • Regional Travel: Travel throughout Texas and surrounding areas as needed
  • Travel Requirement: Approximately 50-75%

Work Environment
  • You'll be in the field where it matters most-on active residential construction sites-working alongside crews, supervisors, and leadership. Expect a fast-paced, hands-on environment with regular travel throughout Texas and surrounding markets, as well as exposure to active construction environments and changing job site conditions.

Physical Requirements
  • Walk and inspect job sites for extended periods
  • Climb, bend, kneel, and navigate active construction environments
  • Lift up to 25-50 lbs occasionally
  • Wear required PPE at all times on job sites
  • Maintain strong visual and hearing awareness for hazard recognition
