Description

The BICSI Instructor delivers hands-on and classroom-based training aligned with BICSI Installer 1 standards. This role prepares students for entry-level careers in telecommunications, structured cabling, data centers, and network infrastructure.ย 

The instructor teaches foundational skills in fiber optic and copper installation, including cable routing, termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. Emphasis is placed on safety, industry standards, and real-world application to ensure students are job-ready.ย 

Preferred Credentialsย 

  • BICSI Installer 1 (INST1)ย 
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety trainingย 

Roles and responsibilitiesย ย 

  • Deliver instruction on BICSI Installer 1 (INST1) concepts and competenciesย ย 
  • Provide hands-on training in:ย ย 
  • Fiber optic cable installation and basic splicingย 
  • Copper cabling (UTP/STP) installation and terminationย 
  • Cable management, pathways, and spacesย 
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and documentationย 
  • Ensure students understand industry standards (BICSI, NEC, OSHA, TIA/EIA) ย 
  • Maintain a safe learning environment with proper tools and equipment usageย ย 
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support certification readinessย ย 
  • Integrate real-world scenarios to prepare students for job site expectationsย 

Requirements

An associate's degree in related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of documented work experience in the ICT field.ย  Additional Training is provided to obtain Certifications.ย
