We are seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to join a rapidly growing manufacturing organization supporting large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. This is a highly visible role focused on improving plant safety, strengthening compliance, and building a proactive safety culture throughout the facility.
This is not a desk-only position — the ideal candidate will spend significant time on the production floor identifying risks, updating procedures, and training employees to maintain and exceed OSHA standards.
Location: Itasca, IL
Schedule: 1st Shift | Flexible Hours (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM)
Compensation: $65K–$90K

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop, implement, and improve safety policies and procedures
- Conduct plant walkthroughs, safety audits, and hazard assessments
- Ensure OSHA compliance and drive continuous safety improvements
- Lead safety training programs and periodic safety meetings
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and training records
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to resolve safety concerns
- Lead and manage the company Safety Committee
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of safety management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards
- Experience developing and implementing safety procedures
- Hands-on approach with comfort working directly on the plant floor
- Strong communication, leadership, and training abilities
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions independently
- Organized and proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field
- Safety certifications or OSHA-related credentials
- Experience with ISO 45001 or similar safety management systems
- Prior leadership of safety committees or training initiatives
