Job description

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Agree on project targets and contents and develop solution concepts with experts based on client requirements.
  • Ensure delivery of the projects assigned including all relevant steps, milestones, gateways and resources.
  • Monitor project progress in terms of time, costs, quality (TCQ) and derive measures in case of deviations or claims.
  • Steer and coordinate lessons learned and ensure proper documentation and project reviews.
  • Lead the project team members functionally and coordinate all involved external service providers, resources or stakeholders.
  • OES Product Portfolio: Analyses of lifecycle management at individual product level.
  • Control of start of production (SoP), end of production (EoP), end of delivery obligation (EoD).
  • Market volume and car park age.
  • Failure rate in the field / Schaeffler Warranty Rate / Market Failure.
  • Tooling Management: Control of Schaeffler owned tool list. - NEW Series Launches.
  • Control of tool scrapping process after EOD / Phase Out.
  • Control of tool return to Customer (Customer owned tool).
  • Tooling ownership Assessment per R&M Target Product for Launch.
  • Phase-out Management: Coordination of ATB quantities with the KAMs and Customers.
  • Coordination of Inventory management - Forecast, Excessive/Obsolete disposition and scrapping residual components/Raw Material.
  • Relocations/technical changes to the OES product portfolio: Regional interface between internal project teams and KAMs.
  • Customer notification of the relocation or technical change according to CSR (e.g. SREA, BTAB, VCN, CN, etc).
  • Initiation of IOP process and management of product sample processes.
  • Project management for the EoP types/timing, safety stock, delivery reliability.
  • Ensure customer-specific requirements in regard to validation and quality requirements.
  • Business trips: customer visits and internal production plants.
  • Initiate CER (Capital Expense Request).
  • Support on R&D Budget planning and monitoring.
  • Development and coordination of revaliation plan with Plant/Customer.
  • Monitor customer Portals and Drive Root Cause Analysis and improvement Action Plan for Customer Scorecard.
  • Monitor Business warehouse reports to Drive Root Cause Analysis and improvement Actions and Recovery plan for Backlogs.
Your Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree preferred or Bachelor with field relevant Automotive field/ aftermarket experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the automotive industry.
  • Strong Manufacturing and Operations knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Product Development, launch, qualification, and validation process.
  • Knowledge of problem solving & Quality tools.
  • Familiarity with Customer Specific Requirements sources.
  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft office - Focus on PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experienced with SAP.
  • Desirable knowledge on Customer portal Handling (GM, FORD, Stellantis).
  • 4-6 years of experience in automotive project management, with demonstrated and documented experience.
  • Spanish or Portuguese Language is a plus.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
