Job Overview
The Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and overseeing safety programs and procedures.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Provide safety training and development programs for employees
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies
- Maintain records of all safety-related activities including report writing
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and implement solutions
Qualifications
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510
- Proven experience in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) management
- Certification in First Aid/CPR preferred
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication skills for training development and collaboration with teams
