About Canadian Liners

At Canadian Liners, we specialize in delivering durable, high-performance geosynthetic solutions for industries that demand the highest standards of environmental protection. Headquartered in Western Canada, we've earned a national reputation for our expertise in liner installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Our crews work across the mining, oil and gas, waste management, construction, and agricultural sectors, supporting projects that protect critical infrastructure and the environment. We pride ourselves on safety, quality workmanship, and delivering reliable results to our clients.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking Labourers to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for individuals who thrive in outdoor environments, enjoy physical work, and want to build a career in construction.

As a Labourer, you'll work alongside experienced Liner Technicians, assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of geosynthetic liner systems on industrial and environmental projects throughout Newfoundland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation and repair of geosynthetic liner systems (HDPE, LLDPE, etc.)
  • Prepare work areas, including subgrade cleanup and site preparation.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist technicians with liner deployment, seaming, testing, and repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in daily tailgate meetings.
  • Perform physically demanding work in a variety of weather and site conditions.
  • Travel and work in remote locations as project requirements dictate.
  • Other duties and responsibilities to support the success of Canadian Liner and its projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous construction, labour, landscaping, industrial, or related outdoor work experience is considered an asset.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and following detailed instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience working on construction or industrial job sites
  • CSTS, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, or other safety certifications.
  • Experience operating hand tools and small power tools.

What We Offer

  • Competitive wages and overtime eligibility.
  • Camp accommodations, travel allowances, and LOAs when applicable.
  • On-the-job training with opportunities to advance into Liner Technician and other skilled positions.
  • A safety-first culture and a supportive team environment.
  • The opportunity to be part of infrastructure projects that protect the environment and support major Canadian industries.
