Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Resources team in our Las Vegas, Nevada office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
  • Project research, field work, observation and preliminary design calculations
  • Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed
  • Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts and estimates
  • Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products
  • Assist in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits or other similar tasks by discipline

Required Skills

  • Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
  • Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
  • Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of software required for position
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations

Required Experience

  • Currently working towards completion of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
