POSITION PURPOSE:

The Marketing Specialist supports Aviva Health's mission by executing marketing strategies that raise awareness of the organization, its programs and services, and contribute to increased patient volume. This role involves developing compelling, timely content for multiple platforms, managing social media, coordinating events, and maintaining the organization's marketing materials. The Marketing Specialist works closely with the Marketing and Development Director and other internal stakeholders to support strategic initiatives that grow and protect Aviva Health's brand and build clinical volume.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Aviva Health's marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Manage and grow Aviva Health's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and responding to messages.
  • Develop, write and edit content for internal and external platforms such as newsletters, websites, brochures, social media, blogs, and news releases.
  • Coordinate marketing for events and programs and services, including creating promotional materials and identifying appropriate marketing channels.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform strategy and content creation.
  • Maintain and update website content, ensuring alignment with current campaigns and organizational priorities.
  • Assist with media relations by pitching stories, responding to requests and building relationships with journalists.
  • Track and report on the performance of marketing activities and provide insights for improvement.
  • Maintain an inventory of marketing collateral, ensuring all materials are current, consistent with brand guidelines and effectively distributed.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, printers and vendors to produce high-quality materials on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two to four years of experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of AP style, traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, social media strategies, and responsible use of AI for marketing purposes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and other web-based marketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms and social media management tools.
  • Video, photography and/or audio production experience highly desirable.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism or business administration.
