This position is designed for professionals who thrive in a remote setting, allowing for a unique work-life balance while serving clients through an outpatient model. Our facility operates from Monday to Saturday, offering flexibility in scheduling. As a Mental Health Counselor at Safe Harbor Therapeutic Center, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care strategies, ensuring all aspects of mental health, educational, and safety needs are met.
  • Managing a caseload of clients, providing ongoing case management that includes consultation and collaboration with community professionals and resources.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of treatment progress and clinical assessments to support continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse group of patients, including children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating various mental health challenges. Your work will focus on providing a compassionate and supportive environment, addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties, along with ensuring that patients feel understood and empowered in their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • Licensure as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the State of California is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is necessary; higher degrees are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient mental health services, particularly in community health clinic environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing evidence-based therapies, including CBT and other related modalities.
  • A proven track record of effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits

Safe Harbor Therapeutic Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary package, you will receive comprehensive health benefits which include medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also provide professional liability insurance to give you peace of mind as you work with patients.

  • Generous paid time off and holidays to promote a healthy work-life balance.
  • Access to ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills.
  • Supportive team environment with regular supervision and consultation to foster your growth as a mental health professional.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Safe Harbor Therapeutic Center, we prioritize your professional development and career trajectory. With a commitment to growth, you will have opportunities for advancement within the organization, including leadership roles and specialized training in emerging therapeutic techniques. We believe in cultivating talent from within, encouraging our staff to pursue their passions and expand their expertise.
