Job Title: Driver

Position Overview:

The Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods between the company and its retail partners, while also assisting with order preparation and general warehouse tasks as needed. This role plays a key part in same-day delivery execution, customer satisfaction, and upholding safety standards both on and off the road.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Follow the company’s vehicle preparation checklist before starting any route
• Deliver products to business locations, ensuring accuracy and professionalism during each delivery stop
• Load and unload the delivery van
• Secure all items properly in the vehicle to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
• Pick and pack orders in the warehouse for same-day delivery as needed
• Assist with general warehouse duties when driving responsibilities are limited
• Follow all traffic laws and demonstrate defensive driving practices
• Remain alert, cautious, and aware of road conditions at all times
• Lock van doors and secure cargo when vehicle is left unattended
• Receive payments from stores when required and handle funds responsibly
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers courteously, confirming deliveries, and addressing basic inquiries or concerns
• Report delivery issues, route delays, or vehicle irregularities to management immediately
• Follow all safety protocols required by local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal company policies
• All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be at least 25 years of age to meet company vehicle insurance requirements and product handling policies
• Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic laws
• Reliable, punctual, and professional

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior delivery driving experience preferred
• Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull boxes and packages weighing up to 60 lbs multiple times throughout the day
• Frequent entering and exiting of a delivery van, including stepping up/down from elevated surfaces
• Regular bending at the waist, squatting, and reaching to load and unload products from shelving, carts, or vehicle interiors
• Prolonged periods of sitting while driving between delivery locations, with intermittent periods of physical exertion
• Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain during outdoor loading/unloading and store access
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to safely operate vehicles and handle merchandise in tight spaces

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday (some weekends or extended hours as needed)
• Shift hours may vary
• Overtime as needed
• This position is classified as non-exempt, meaning you are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
