REPORTS TO: Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

JOB TYPE: Full Time (In-Office)


FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:


Reporting directly to the EVP Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Executive will focus on increasing the companys revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies. The responsibilities will include recommending ways to improve operations planning, attending meetings with clients and advisors, and notifying partners of key business developments. The incumbent should be adept at negotiating sound business deals and show excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Acquire new accounts using a strategic approach to increasing sales revenue and drive growth with prospects within a specific target of customers looking for 3PL Logistics,Warehousing and Fulfillment services.
Assesses marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommends improvements as needed.
Approves all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs)
Negotiates fees, closes sales orders and obtains signed contracts with pricing approval.
Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy customers needs.
Presents business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
Responsible for servicing accounts, information management, monthly reporting, training, and meeting set targets.
Responsible for revenue attainment, customer satisfaction and revenue retention.
Consults with new customers after sales or signed contracts to resolve problems and/or ongoing support and customer service.
Completes the new customer onboarding program and checklist detailing both customer and operational requirements for all new key accounts or significant expansion within existing accounts.
Manages the sales pipeline to ensure timely and accurate forecasting.
Maintains accurate records of all sales activities.
Takes on Special Projects as assigned by Management related to Sales.
Performs other related duties.

  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation management systems and services/products related to the supply chain industry
