Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
Remuneration: Exempt

Reporting to the VP, O&M Central/East Region, the Associate Regional Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations for wind, solar, and BESS facilities in the Central and East region. The position will aid the growing asset base and maintenance needs which often come with age. This role combines delivering continuously improving results and implementing best GAAP practices.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates business continuity at each plant within the region
  • Identifies minor discrepancies in records and escalate issues as needed
  • Assists in the quarterly and year-end accrual process
  • Reviews Monthly P&L, current expenses to budget, provide updates to site Operations staff
  • Assists fleet and site operations in maintaining schedules for repairs and maintenance and inventory support
  • Communicates with vendors for routine service inquiries
  • Supports team members during quarterly accrual preparation
  • Performs record keeping duties assigned by management

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an administrative or clerical position
  • On the job training provided for SAP and other tools
  • Exposure to ERP systems preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Basic understanding of SAP for creating and processing purchase requests
  • Familiarity with basic administrative procedures and office practices
  • Ability to understand large quantities of data and see the bigger picture
  • Knowledge of utility services such as electricity and water billing processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities; able to work with minimum supervision
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines

  • This position is an office-based role with some travel for training and support to other RWEA offices and field locations
  • Must be able to sit, walk or stand for long duration of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry twenty-five (25) pounds with one hand up to fifteen (15) feet

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $80,000 - $120,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
