Service Advisor (Tacoma RV Center)

Job Description:

Tacoma RV Center is in need of aย Service Advisorย to join our team and act as our liaison for customers to address their RV repair needs. We are looking for an outstanding communicator with a professional appearance and a strong work ethic.ย A Service Advisor's responsibilities include documenting customer repair needs, communicating with the shop, and following up with customers in a timely manner. Ultimately, you will ensure that the needs of our customers are met, coordinate transactions and estimate both time & costs to ensure everything runs smoothly for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost estimates, logging needed parts and the time needed for repairs
  • Convey all necessary information regarding costs, parts and work to customers
  • Call the customer to update status of RV
  • Meet with customers to discuss their requirements and relay those requirements to the Service Technicians
  • Contact customers in the case of additional work to relay the details and extra costs
  • Enter the details of repair jobs on the company's network and prepare repair instructions

Requirements and skills:

  • Attitude is everything-greet service department customers promptly and courteously!
  • Proven work experience as a Service Writer or similar role
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs
  • The ability to understand and relate technical issues to the service team from customers' non-technical descriptions
  • Upsell recommended/additional services using low pressure, high integrity methods
  • Provide accurate estimates of repair/maintenance costs
  • Adherence to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation
  • Follow up on each repair and keep customers informed of progress
  • Inspect repair quality and ensure that all work is complete
  • Review and explain repairs and associated costs with customers
  • Handle minor customer concerns and complaints
  • Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores in accordance with dealership standards

Benefits:

Pay: Hourly plus commission - $95,000-$105,000 a year DOE
Days: Tuesday - Saturday
