Job description

POSITION: Customer Service Representative
STATUS: Part Time/Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Ticket Office
REPORTS TO: Ticket Services Manager
POSITION CONCEPT:
To serve the Mission, Vision and Values of REH, Inc. by providing efficient and professional customer
service in the Ticket Office. This position will be assigned to shifts at any of our venues, including Ruth Eckerd
Hall, Bilheimer Capitol Theatre and The BayCare Sound.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Sell event tickets through computerized ticketing system.
• Process mobile, counter, mail and phone ticket orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide event, ticket, membership and facility information to the public with enthusiasm.
• Balance cash drawer.
• Build accurate constituent files; add Notes and Research as needed
• Respond to customer questions and concerns with professionalism
• Assist in training new staff as assigned.
• Assist with clerical duties as directed.
• Find opportunities to Up-sell; not afraid of the “ask”.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekends
• Professionally represent Ruth Eckerd Hall at all times.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
Education/ Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years in a customer service or public contact role.
Demonstrated Skills or Knowledge:
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to provide outstanding customer service skills.’
• Ability to work effectively with patrons and staff to meet needs.
• Ability to transcribe numbers accurately and handle transactions.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Demonstrated mastery of ticketing processes, preferably with Tessitura.
• Ability to multi-task and be successful in a high volume fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to sit at and operate a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to stand at a box office window for extended periods.
• Ability to operate a telephone and other basic office equipment.
• Consistent good attendance is a condition of employment and a function of this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various climates.
Other:
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
