Job description

Job Summary:
Captivation is a company known for delivering timely solutions to its customers, and they are seeking a senior level software engineer. The role involves developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting a suite of software applications while ensuring integration with various products and libraries to support mission needs.
Responsibilities:
• Developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting the project's software suite of applications and possibly future capabilities as mission needs arise.
• Implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containers
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience with Git Source Control System
Preferred:
• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
