Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Provide daily maintenance and support to MIPS to ensure online availability and upload capability and provide monitoring of the MIPS generated electronic voucher file and its transmission;
Create and modify database objects (Tables, Stored Procedures, Views, Indexes, etc.) in Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL) in support of programming on a daily basis as assigned by the department;
Modify Structured Query Language Server Integration Services (SSIS) on a daily basis as assigned;
Manage version control system for MSSQL objects in Visual Source Safe on a daily basis as assigned by the department;
Provide analytical services for system incidents and enhancements to identify operational efficiencies on a daily basis as assigned;
Deliver code to perform system functions as defined in user requirements on a daily basis;
Facilitate meetings and document system design, functionality, technical objectives, business and system requirements and processes with program and technical staff on a daily basis as assigned by the department;
Test application, database and design object codes and facilitate user acceptance testing.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Experience with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2008 (4 years);
Experience with data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning (4 years) ;
Experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, DTS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers (4 years);
Experience with SQL relational databases (4 years);
Experience with configuration management (SourceSafe administration) for SQL database objects (4 years);
Experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team (4 years);
Experience developing web-based applications in Microsoft VB.Net (ASP.Net) environment (4 years);
Experience with object-oriented development techniques (4 years);
Experience with the Microsoft.NET Framework (4 years);
Experience with Crystal reports to meet user-defined requirements (4 years);
Experience working in a governmental domain.
