Job description

Sr. CNO Software Engineer

Company Overview

Role

As a member of the CNO team you will combine C development with Cyber Operations tradecraft to build capability across a variety of systems. You will join a high performing team that prides itself on finding effective solutions to difficult problems, and working with customers that are engaged and highly motivated to share requirements, feedback and tactical understanding of the mission sets. You will have the ability to have a true impact, not just on the technical direction and execution of particular projects but on customer mission success.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design and architecture of back-end systems
  • Develop robust and high-quality tools and solutions, putting the user’s requirements first and always driving towards a working product on-time
  • Work closely with customer groups to refine requirements to meet mission needs
  • Integrate and build testing into product family, ensuring complete code coverage
  • Facilitate delivery and deployment of operational capabilities
  • Take ownership of challenging projects and develop elegant solutions
Required Qualifications
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • 5+ years of experience writing software in a cyber operations domain
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Degree requirement can be met with four years of hands on experience in a software engineer or similar full time position
  • Proficient in one or more of the the following programming languages - C/C++, Python, GO, or RUST
  • Strong understanding of network programming fundamentals and API’s in C
  • Strong understanding of CMake/Make and embedded build systems
  • Ability to collaborate as a team but execute independently
  • Comfortable in a high-trust, adaptable, team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 - 2 years of industry experience in a CNO engineer or similar role
  • Understanding in kernel reverse engineering and/or kernel development
  • Experience communicating with customers and end-users
