We are seeking a Human Language Technology specialist (HLT) with Russian language proficiency to support mission-focused efforts. While this role is designated as an HLT position, it is linguist-focused and requires strong language capabilities combined with technical aptitude. The ideal candidate will be both linguistically skilled and technically savvy, with the ability to work with data and modern analytical tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage Russian language skills to support analysis, translation, and interpretation tasks
  • Process, analyze, and manage data to support mission requirements
  • Utilize technical tools and platforms to organize and interpret large datasets
  • Apply knowledge of emerging technologies, including machine learning, AI, and LLMs, to enhance analytical workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all linguistic and analytical outputs

Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Russian language with a minimum of 2+ (ILR or equivalent)
  • Experience or demonstrated ability in translation, analysis, or language-related work
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work across data management tools and systems
  • Familiarity with IT concepts and data handling practices

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or large language models (LLMs)
  • Background in data analysis, data management, or related technical fields
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Experience supporting government or mission-driven environments

What You Bring:
  • An active TS/SCI with polygraph is preferred; however, sponsorship for clearance upgrades is available.
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 - 12 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 6-10 years of related experience. (Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
  • Candidates must have experience in the Intelligence Community and Operations.
  • Must successfully complete a Leidos-administered language proficiency test or equivalent
  • HLT experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic online research.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and target languages.
