Job description

At Gotham Outsourcing, Inc., we work with underserved communities to get affordable, high-speed Fiber-Optic internet through partnerships with leading providers and federal programs. Our mission is to connect with residents, local groups, and leaders, making it easy for eligible households to enroll. Our goal is to close the digital divide while helping those who need it most. 

Gotham Outsourcing is looking for a Russian-speaking Sales Representative to work directly with Russian-speaking residents and communities throughout NYC. The role will involve engaging with current and prospective customers, answering questions, and providing exceptional service to enhance their customer experience. Our ideal candidate will play a key role in community-based outreach and enrollment for our internet access programs. You will educate residents on available benefits, build relationships with community organizations, and guide eligible individuals through the enrollment process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct face-to-face outreach in NYC communities, engaging residents about free and low-cost internet services
  • Use a provided lead list to follow up with existing leads and support their needs
  • Build relationships with local businesses, property managers, community centers, and nonprofit organizations and maintain top tier customer service throughout
  • Educate customers on plan options, benefits, and troubleshooting tips
  • Attend community events, housing fairs, or on-site activations to raise awareness
  • Meet individual and team-based sales and outreach target goals
  • Assist with the application/enrollment process and explain program eligibility requirements
  • Conduct consultations to showcase features and benefits of services offered
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, applications submitted, and follow-ups
  • Remain professional and courteous handling sensitive information

Qualifications:

  • Previous sales, customer service, outreach, or community engagement experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Russian, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of working directly with communities or underserved populations is preferred
  • Knowledgeable of CRM platforms
  • Teachable attitude experienced with product demonstrations, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet goals with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, understanding internet plans, and assisting with basic troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain professional, compassionate, and possess cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $48,497 - $76,250 base pay with commission

We are a flexible work environment and practice work-life balance since our roles are primarily field/community based. This allows our employees to plan, problem-solve, and connect with their clients and customers. Our Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our NYC office.
