Primary Care Physician

Rush Oak Lawn Outpatient Center

Chicago, IL

Rush University System for Health, a national leader in outstanding patient care, education, research, community partnerships and empowering a new generation of health care providers, is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join Rush Oak Lawn Outpatient Center, a multispecialty outpatient practice.

We are excited to announce a major expansion at the Rush Oak Lawn Outpatient Center, adding Primary Care services starting in February 2026. The expansion of Primary Care Services in Oak Lawn is a key part of Rushโ€™s mission to deliver top-tier care and excellent patient outcomes across the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana. Help us grow a thriving practice that delivers integrated primary and specialized patient care within our community!

In addition to the new Primary Care services, the Rush Oak Lawn Outpatient Center currently offers a range of surgical and medical specialty services, including:

  • Surgical Specialties: General Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Bariatric Surgery, and Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery.
  • Medical Specialties: Medical Weight Loss and Breast Cancer Care.

Research opportunities and teaching with a faculty appointment at Rush University may be available for consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and support team
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
  • Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Valid IL medical license or ability to obtain licensure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $261,000 โ€“ $383,000
