Position Summary
The Warehouse Assistant / Shop Runner supports daily field operations by maintaining warehouse organization, managing material flow, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and equipment to job sites. This position plays a critical role in keeping technicians productive and jobs running on schedule.
The ideal candidate is punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, and maintains a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming HVAC and plumbing materials
  • Maintain organized shelving, inventory areas, and staging zones
  • Assist with inventory counts and restocking
  • Prepare daily job materials and equipment for field crews
  • Track and label materials accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within warehouse and yard
Shop Runner / Field Support
  • Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
  • Pick up parts from supply houses and vendors
  • Assist technicians with material loading/unloading
  • Transport equipment between branches or project locations
  • Return unused materials and ensure proper documentation
Vehicle & Equipment Responsibility
  • Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections
