Description
Retirement Unlimited is seeking an Environmental Services Director to join the team! The comfort and care of our residents is our highest priority.
The Environmental Services Director is responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures and cleanliness of the building and providing RUI residents and staff a safe, healthy, and pleasing environment in which to live and work. Directs, trains, and supervises all housekeeping and maintenance staff and oversees contractors as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring the constant optimal operation of electrical, plumbing, and A/C-Heating equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the housekeeping department in the Community, including the apartments, offices, and common areas.
  • Responsible for all community laundry needs for both the residents and other departments
  • Developing and adhering to budgets for the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments
  • Develops and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning schedules and oversees completion of all items on a timely basis.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the departments, and the personnel.
  • Acts as community liaison with all outside maintenance contractors and is responsible for oversight of work performed to include safety, regulatory compliance, and final inspection.\
  • Responsible for managing any vehicles used by the Community, including arranging for the routine maintenance and repairs for the vehicles and keeping maintenance records for vehicles; recommends repairs, upgrades, or replacements as necessary.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with the RUI preventative maintenance program for all equipment in the community.
  • Responsible for overseeing grounds maintenance and managing the waste disposal contracts with outside vendors
  • Investigates mechanical breakdowns and failures of equipment and systems to determine the cause and prevent reoccurrence through a preventive maintenance program
