Overview
Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is searching for aFront-End Developer to build and support dynamic applications with complex data flows for our public sector clients. BCC is a company of technologists, scientists, analysts, engineers, and consultants. Our clients trust us to maintain the infrastructure and visualization of these data to help drive innovation in health, science, and public policy. In this role, you will build extensible and sustainable search interfaces and data visualizations powered by complex dynamic state-management infrastructure. You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Designers, and User Experience (UX) Researchers in an Agile environment.
We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer with a passion for user experience and delivering impactful web-based applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop code using Angular
  • Create mobile-friendly, responsive, applications
  • Fully-engage in the Agile process as a cross-functional team member
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Write meaningful and targeted tests using Cypress and other frameworks

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS))
  • Experience working in multi-vendor, multi-team environments

Required skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience delivering resilient, well-tested code
  • Expertise with HTML, SCSS, Material, Typescript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js Chart.js, Plotly, or others
  • Familiarity with .NET, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java
  • Proficient at testing as part of the development process
  • Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong understanding of Git versioning
  • Clearance and Location Requirements
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
    • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States; candidates in the DMV area preferred
    • All work must be performed within the United States
