Job Description

The Sr. Java Devloper will provide ETL and RubyonRails/PostgrSQL/Phusion/NGINX full stack developer, TANF and Arkansas legacy systems knowledge, .net, Java, , Curam Cash Assistance, Outcome Planning module programming experience.

system is currently being used in production by trained TANF case managers in selected areas. The system is built on an open source stack with the following major software components:

Ruby on Rails

NGINX

Phusion Passenger

PostgreSQL

Sidekiq

Identified activities include:

-Upgrading the Ruby on Rails Framework, and other major components used in the eco-system (Ex: Phusion Passenger, Nginx, and Sidekiq) to a newer stable, and supported version

-Providing defect fixes identified in production, and / or user testing

Since the system will no longer be doing the intake, eligibility and benefits issuance functions, the system needs to be repurposed by decoupling in-built intake and eligibility functions from the functionality, and the system workflow (Ex: Drug Screening, Absent Parent Management, Child Care / OCSE, program unit activation, etc..)
