Job Description

Responsibilities:


  • Design a wide array of high-traffic and highly-scalable platforms and applications
  • Understanding business requirements and translating these into technical solutions
  • Designing and creating the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build
  • Designing and building web interfaces on multiple platforms using Ruby on Rails and related databases using best practices
  • Liaising directly with internal and external business users and providing 2nd/ 3rd line support on the Rails applications through the life-cycle of the project
  • This role requires a level of technical experience and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with business staff, technical team, and third party developers
  • Keeping up to date with the latest plans, developments and changes in the Rails world.
  • Provide on-going support of existing Rails Developments.
Qualifications

Looking For:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
  • 4+ Years of experience in Ruby on Rails
  • Sound knowledge of Ruby on Rails
  • Strong understanding of design patterns
  • Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture
  • Background in a MVC-based implementation of a web platform
