Overview We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with expertise across the frontend (React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML) and backend ( Node.js, Express.js, OpenAPI , relational databases) stack to join our app team. Working closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers, you'll iterate quickly on features, improve performance, and build out a secure, scalable platform for real-world military and government users. This role focuses on hands-on coding and software design , spanning everything from UI workflows to API development to database architecture . This role requires an active Secret security clearance. Responsibilities What You'll Do: * Write quality software , participate in code reviews, and help develop best practices and documentation. * Support full-stack systems design decisions involving API architecture, data models, and UI component structure. * Embrace AI-drive development , building the guardrails, validation layers, end-to-end tests, and supporting systems that keep AI-assisted output safe, reliable, and production-grade. * Build intuitive, responsive front-end experiences using React and modern component libraries, translating requirements into clean, reusable UI components. * Write clean, secure back-end services using Express.js , with a focus on REST APIs, modular design, and Prisma ORM . * Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps , and field teams to launch features quickly and securely. * Support automated testing and code quality gates by writing and reviewing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. * Troubleshoot bugs, squash performance bottlenecks, and build for IL6 deployment requirements. Qualifications What We're Looking For * 4 + years of relevant software engineering experience. * Demonstrated expertise in full stack software development . * Experience using AI-enabled development tools to rapidly ship software . * Strong frontend skills: React (component design, hooks, modern front-end patterns), JavaScript/TypeScript, and a solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles. * Strong backend skills: Express.JS , with hands-on experience with Prisma ORM and relational databases, plus a solid understanding of SQL, indexing, and query optimization. * Experience with testing tools across the stack (e.g., Jest, Vitest , React Testing Library , Playwright, Cypress ) and a track record of building automated validation and end-to-end testing into delivery. * Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc ). * Comfortable with Agile/Lean , rapid delivery cycles , and direct user feedback loops. Bonus Points For: * Hands-on work with secure government environments (DoD, IL5+, FedRAMP). * Experience building geospatial applications. * Certifications like Security+ and AWS Developer/Architect. * Past experience at a startup or in rapid-growth teams. The target salary range for this position is $111426.84 - $192890.16. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
