Location: Stevensville, MD
Type: Hybrid

This role operates across two primary locations, Stevensville, MD and Columbia, MD, with a minimum of one day per week required onsite at Stevensville, MD. Remote flexibility exists on non Stevensville, MD days. Travel to a customer site in Virginia is also required on a quarterly basis. Candidates must be local to the DMV/MD area

Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking for an experienced and talented Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team of engineers delivering cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will contribute to engineering efforts spanning hardware/ software integration, systems engineering, and security engineering, working directly with internal teams and customers to define system architecture, drive engineering change requests, and execute implementation plans that deliver mission outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform BOM Analysis.
  • Receive BOMs from the customer and evaluate request against current warehouse inventory.
  • Create pick orders in flowtrac.
  • If a description is provided instead of a SKU, search online for viable options. Prioritizing TAA options. If none are available, notify the customer when non TAA options must be used.
  • New product analysis. Assist the customer in exploring new products are requested. Providing both procurement and technical insight.
  • Coordinating Procurement and warehouse operations to ensure stock is maintained and pick orders are fulfilled. Provide feedback to the customer weekly or as requested.
  • Exploring Flowtrac operations developing consistent processes, and writing SOPs to track these processes.
    Must be able to communicate effectively with the Prime contract and customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering (server hardware), systems architecture, and network security architecture.
  • 4 years of experience with current defensive cyberspace TTPs.
  • Knowledge and experience with network protocols, virtualization, architecture design, and defense in depth practices.
  • Knowledge of server hardware including initial setup/installation, testing, and configuration.
  • Experience writing SOPs for operational or logistics processes.
  • Understanding of infrastructure security, hardening processes, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Experience performing BOM analysis and evaluating material requests against inventory.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers and prime contractors in a DoD/GovCon environment.
  • Experience with Flowtrac or similar inventory/warehouse management systems.
  • Experience creating and managing pick orders in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Understanding of TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliance as it relates to product procurement.
  • Procurement or supply chain experience in a defense or federal contracting setting (preferred).
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be willing to work onsite at our Stevensville, MD office at least 1 day per week and travel to a customer site in VA on a quarterly basis.
