Field Foreman- Commercial and Industrial Metal Fabrication & Installation – Lead Commercial and Industrial Miscellaneous Metals InstallationsJob Overview:

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a pivotal field leader, spearheading the installation of high-stakes miscellaneous metal projects including stairs and rails. This role empowers you to set the standard for the next generation of metal suppliers while managing critical onsite operations. How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Direct and organize field crews, tools, and materials to ensure the seamless installation of complex metal structures.
  • Coordinate daily activities and timelines with General Contractors to maintain project momentum and precision.
  • Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to execute accurate field layouts and installations.
  • Supervise onsite safety protocols, ensuring all personnel utilize proper PPE and adhere to site-specific safety plans.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation including daily field reports, safety meetings, and time and material tickets.
  • Resolve field-level technical challenges by communicating effectively with shop management to bridge the gap between fabrication and installation.
  • Oversee the maintenance of service trucks, welders, and specialized equipment to prevent operational downtime.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically within the miscellaneous metals field.
  • Demonstrated mastery of miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation processes.
  • Proven ability to lead crews in high-stress, industrial environments including hot and loud conditions.
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes.
  • Strong mathematical proficiency, including an understanding of units of measure, angles, and degrees.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a formal supervisory or foreman-level role.
  • Current welder certifications or the immediate ability to pass a standardized weld test.
  • Experience in mentorship and training junior crew members in field safety and technical skills.
