Job description

Applications Developer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise / departmental IT systems. This position requires in-depth hands-on experience developing software in a team environment where customer focus, cooperation, communication, and continual tradecraft improvements are the norm. Must have excellent debugging skills, work independently, and interact well with others.


Mandatory Skills


  1. The Candidate must possess an active Top Secret SCI + PolygraphClearance. Candidate will not be considered without it.
  2. Utilize the Agile methodology and traditional Project Management Framework (PMF) control gates for all software application development unless otherwise directed by Sponsor.
  3. Develop software applications as web services that are written in JavaScript capable technology unless otherwise directed by Sponsor. Examples include Node JS and Angular with Typescript, and Springboot with Hibernate and messaging; JavaScript (EXTJS, Dojo), Java (JSPs, GWT, JSF, Groovy on Grails); ; Scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Ruby on Rails); and Rich UI Plugins (Flex, Silverlight, Google Earth Plugin).
  4. Develop and maintain software applications as web services that interact with data stored in Postgres, MySQL, and other relational databases and/or Cloud technologies such as AWS.
  5. Develop, upgrade, and maintain APis and search with REST-like APis to communicate with other software applications and databases as required by Sponsor.
  6. Utilize XML, JSON, or other Sponsor standards for data transfer and metadata management.
  7. Develop and maintain Domino, SharePoint, and other software applications and content management systems as required by Sponsor.
  8. Develop and maintain Sponsor forms in Adobe or other forms software as required by Sponsor.
  9. Develop and maintain Sponsor websites utilizing Drupal or other content management systems as required by Sponsor.
  10. Improve search and website usability and accessibility by leveraging enterprise capabilities, improving process time, and supporting legal mandates.
