Job description

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature ofworkand team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to workat least three days in the office, includingTuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject tochange, basedon managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able toworkup to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Responsible for working on projects that are currently being developed on by our company. Duties will include but are not limited to developing and directing software system validation and testing methods, as well as directing our software programming initiatives. IT Software Engineer will also be working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.
Responsibilities include defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, like Java, React, Ruby on Rails or .NET programming languages (e.g. C++ or JScript.NET.). Employees should be familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment. A deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architecture is preferred.
Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.
