Job description

Job Description SUMMARY: Operates rubber injection presses and related equipment to produce finished products or products requiring further assembly of components by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Operator places rubber stock into feeder, checks all temperatures, ensures that core of plates are at proper processing temperature before starting press.

Reads and follows the part number specification posted at the press for the part to be manufactured. Removes core from the press and flash from the mold, rotates empty core back into press. Closes safety gate.

Ensures all safety procedures for press and mold are adhered to. Engages dual hand control buttons to activate the press. Trim excess flash off parts and removes parts from core/mandrel with tool(s) provided for that purpose.

Completes trimming of parts and inspect for defects per spec/sample board, then assembles, as required, per visual aid board provided. If parts have a sensor to be installed, parts must pass over a table light to locate any plugs left in holes, and remove any found. Packs parts in container or "turbo" per the spec.
