Job description

Position Summary

The Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and supports secure, scalable, and high-performing Azure cloud solutions for PAM Health. This role collaborates with architects, developers, and DevOps teams to build cloud-native and hybrid applications, manage infrastructure-as-code, and ensure compliance with security and governance requirements. The position emphasizes automation, performance optimization, and reliability in delivering enterprise-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Azure cloud architecture using services such as Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Network (VNet), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and more.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and DevOps teams to build and deploy cloud-native and hybrid applications.
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code with tools like ARM templates, Terraform or Bicep.
  • Ensure security, compliance and best practices across Azure deployments.
  • Monitor environments, troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Support migration of on-premises workloads to Azure.
  • Develop automation scripts for provisioning, scaling and configuration management.
  • Document solutions and mentor junior engineers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security and compute/storage solutions in Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Working knowledge of containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
  • Understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework and cost‑optimization strategies.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud or multi‑subscription Azure setups preferred.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog) preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) preferred.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Center) preferred.
