Position Overview

Riverwoods Academy, RTC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor to join our innovative behavioral health team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of each client you serve, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with supervisors, direct care staff, family members, and other stakeholders about client progress.
  • Create and manage a schedule for appointments, home visits, and follow-up observations to facilitate consistent care and monitoring.
  • Coordinate home visits to fulfill requirements for in-home observations, chart reviews, and data analysis to support clients’ needs effectively.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of individualized program plans and make adjustments as necessary to enhance client outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, leveraging insights to develop holistic approaches to client care.
  • Document monthly and quarterly progress notes to track client developments and service effectiveness.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions for team members to ensure competency in implementing program plans and documentation practices.
  • Provide ongoing support through follow-up interviews and home visits, ensuring continued engagement and assessment of client needs.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and the community, enhancing relationships within the mental health sector to promote collaborative efforts.
  • Assist in developing training materials and procedures aimed at improving program services for our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse population, including both adults and youth, addressing issues ranging from family dynamics, trauma recovery, substance misuse, to general emotional support. Your practice will be guided by the belief that every individual deserves personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland is essential.
  • At least 2 years of clinical counseling experience is required, with a strong preference for experience in behavioral health settings.
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse will enhance your candidacy.
