Job description

Job Posting Description
Position Summary
Performs routine (standard CPAP and BPAP titrations) and complex pediatric inpatient and outpatient sleep studies.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Procedure Prep: Prepares patients and equipment for procedures. Obtains medical history from patients/families to identify and meet patient-specific needs. (e.g., physical/mental limitations, current physiological status regarding the testing procedure). Reviews procedure request provided by ordering physician and complies with all standard lab protocols.
  • Procedures: Performs polysomnograms according to hospital and laboratory standards and protocols; routine and specialized PSG, PAP, O2, Trach, and other specialized procedures to meet the procedure request/goals of the study.
  • Equipment: Perform routine and complex equipment care and maintenance, troubleshoots technical problems with equipment, and coordinate repairs as needed with appropriate personnel. Keeps equipment clean and in proper working order.
  • Department Operations: Attend monthly technical staff meetings providing professional input for the development of procedures and protocols for the Center.
  • Continuing Education: Participate in professional meetings on a local, regional, and national basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma / GED, Associates degree in relevant concentration is preferred
Experience:
Experience in a pediatric sleep laboratory setting is preferred
Licensure/ Certifications:
BLS required, RPSGT exam eligible is preferred
