The Opportunity:
This Corporate Educator (Registered Nurse) role promotes and supports a positive learning climate modeling AgeCare's four Guiding Principles, Trust, Respect, Quality and Teamwork. The successful candidate will develop and implement teaching programs using their knowledge as a Registered Nurse and skills of Adult Learning principles to connect with staff, residents and families. The Educator has both corporate and site responsibilities and will collaborate with community supports to ensure education is aligned with best practice standards.
What Is In It For You:
Become a part of a creative and innovative team of educators, providing education opportunities and in services to staff, residents and families on various topics related to quality resident care and safety.
Use your leadership skills and strong clinical knowledge to promote best practices in the areas of dementia care, medication management, infection prevention and control, end of life care, fall prevention, etc.
Provide instruction on a 1:1 basis and in groups at all types of orientation instructional days as well as mandatory education according to standards annually.
Help our Seniors Communities be best in class by taking an active role in ensuring our care standards meet or exceed audit and accreditation standards.
What You Will Need:
Be an RN or Registered Psych Nurse, registered with, or eligible for registration with CARNA or CRPNA.
3 or more years continuing care/gerontology experience, being a CPR instructor would be an asset.
Previous experience in education and quality management with knowledge regarding RAI and Dementia Strategy preferred.
Demonstrated success in mentoring, developing and leading care staff.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $72,500.00 per yearSalary placement based on qualifications and experience.
