Job description

Rezult Group continues to make great strides toward enhancing the technology services community nationwide. We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success. Currently we are searching for a Director of Enterprise Applications to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.

This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire position that sits onsite in southeast Alabama.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead the freight operations application environment — including transportation management system (TMS), RPG, and EDI platforms — ensuring stability, performance, and uptime for a 24/7 freight operation
  • Manage and mentor a team of application professionals (including 2 direct-report managers), plus oversight of a significant portfolio of contracted technical resources
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and freight/operations business leadership, translating operational needs into scalable application solutions
  • Own the application lifecycle — system integrations, modernization roadmap planning, and ongoing enhancement prioritization
  • Ensure SOX/SOC compliance and strong data governance practices across freight reporting systems
  • Partner closely with a peer applications director whose systems environment integrates directly with this one, ensuring seamless cross-functional delivery
  • Drive standardization and process improvement through effective application configuration across the operations organization

Position Requirements:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a Director-level enterprise technology leadership role, ideally gained at a larger, enterprise-scale organization (multi-system environments, sizable teams/budgets)
  • Strong relationship-building and execution skills — proven ability to build trust with operational stakeholders, manage teams, and deliver on requests in a timely manner; comfortable presenting and negotiating with senior leadership
  • Understanding of transportation/logistics operations is a strong plus — this could include experience with LTL carriers, TMS platforms, or an operations background with technology exposure
  • Familiarity with EDI and/or iSeries/RPG environments is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with hybrid cloud and API integration platforms is a plus
  • No hands-on coding required for this role — this is a leadership and strategy position
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical strategy for executive-level audiences
