Job description

Electrical Wiring Technician - $20/hr

M-F 2PM - 10PM, some OT as needed

Garland, TX 75042

The Manufacturing Control Wiring technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including wire,
assembling, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in
electrical control equipment. Perform assembly as required. Perform all assignments within
acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping them within assigned functions.
Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Perform wiring of Control panels, Switchgear, Switchboards and ATS's.
  • Proficiently read wiring diagrams and work independently to complete assignments.
  • Wire electronics such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
  • Assembly electrical switchboard equipment
  • Perform assigned functions from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other
  • manufacturing.
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure

conformance with specifications and codes. areas or parts shortages. Peers in time of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required; also comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.

What You Bring

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards /switchboards preferred)
  • Experience wiring power meters and controls.
  • Experience using various tools, including Manual/electric/pneumatic tools,template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment or Experience with reading wiring schematics and point to point diagrams.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading)
  • Keep yourself and teammates aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety.
  • Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received. excellence

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical assembly OR electrical manufacturing

  • Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar
