  2. Metropolitan 13 – 4018 W. 13 Mile Rd. Apt 17, Royal Oak, MI 48073 (13 Mile Rd between Woodward amp; Greenfield)
  3. Metropolitan Lafayette – 201 N. Lafayette, Royal Oak, MI 48067 (½ block North of 11 Mile, 1 mile East of Woodward)
  4. Chatsford Village Apartments – 501 E. Irving, Madison Heights, MI 48071 (1 block North of 13 Mile, East off John R to the end of the block)
  5. Briarwood Park Apartments – 2400 Parmenter, Royal Oak, MI 48073 (North of 14 Mile Rd, West of Crooks, off Briarwood)

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll oversee the operational and financial performance of five small apartment communities managed from one central office. You’ll lead on-site teams, drive occupancy and resident satisfaction, and ensure each property operates efficiently and profitably.
You’ll take ownership of:
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of five scattered-site residential communities.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and managing separate budgets for each property.
  • Overseeing rent collections, delinquency management, and lease compliance.
  • Approving leases, renewals, and resident documentation.
  • Evaluating market conditions and recommending pricing and concession strategies.
  • Reviewing invoices, controlling expenses, and managing vendor contracts.
  • Conducting regular property walks and inspections to ensure excellent curb appeal.
  • Overseeing maintenance operations and capital improvement projects.
  • Resolving escalated resident concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Recruiting, training, coaching, and supervising leasing and maintenance staff.
  • Creating a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.

What You Bring
  • At least 3 years of property management experience, preferably overseeing multiple communities.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and rent collections.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Experience with leasing, resident retention, and customer service.
  • Understanding of Fair Housing laws and property management regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Ability to travel regularly between properties.
