The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for a faculty position in Radiology. Preference is for a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. However, applications for part-time positions will be considered.  Appointment may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate.  

Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey, and board-certified or board eligible in ACVR or ECVDI. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Clinical service duties include diagnostic imaging services provided for the SSVM teaching hospital.  This 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Glassboro Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states. 

Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of veterinary diagnostic imaging though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate's appointment and may include collaborative or independent research. Qualifications:

  • DVM or equivalent degree.
  • Completion of a radiology residency training program with board-certification (or board-eligibility), ACVR or ECVDI.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching veterinary students in a clinical setting, strongly preferred.
  • Currently licensed in or eligible for licensure in NJ.

Salary Range:

In compliance with the State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $290,000. When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine is located on the Glassboro, New Jersey west campus, 22 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine plans to admit its first class of DVM students in 2025, pending accreditation approval. Facilities will include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a small animal teaching hospital, and a research facility.
