Job Description:
We are seeking a senior-level Engineering Planner who can help advance dsPIC's mission by bringing structure, insight and execution discipline to semiconductor engineering, new product development and manufacturing operations. This support role is ideal for a collaborative, systems-oriented professional with strong knowledge of engineering workflows, semiconductor manufacturing processes, AI and system automation.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Support and execute engineering planning strategies for new product introductions, engineering builds, wafer lots, qualification activities, prototype builds and manufacturing transitions.
  • Partner with product engineering, manufacturing, operations, planning, procurement, quality and business teams to align technical requirements, material readiness, capacity and execution timelines.
  • Use AI-enabled tools, analytics and automation concepts to improve planning accuracy, improve new product development efficiency and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate planning data across engineering systems, including bills of material, routing information, engineering work orders, part records, inventory status and manufacturing readiness indicators.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews that encourage timely communication, proactive problem solving and accountability for deliverables.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve schedule visibility, strengthen data quality and enhance execution predictability.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Data Science, Computer Science or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in engineering planning, manufacturing planning, product engineering support, semiconductor operations or a closely related technical planning role.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flows, including wafer fabrication, assembly, test, qualification, engineering lots and new product introduction processes.
  • Working knowledge of AI, machine learning concepts, analytics and automation opportunities within engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks, technical dependencies, changing priorities and cross-functional deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, management skills, and the ability to influence teams without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience applying AI, optimization models or decision-support tools to manufacturing planning and cycle time reduction.
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor product lifecycle management, engineering change control, material disposition, inventory strategy and factory execution systems.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo constructively and translate new ideas into reliable, scalable planning practices.
