General Summary:
Highly analytical and results-driven Supervisor on the Outbound Transportation Team. The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for leading a team and driving load planning and routing strategy across the network. This role combines deep expertise in transportation network design with direct leadership of planning execution and team performance. The Transportation Supervisor understands transportation metrics and has the analytical capability to measure and improve operational performance using tools such as 1010data, Excel, and Power BI.
Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership and Execution
    • Lead and develop a team of Transportation Specialists responsible for outbound routing and load planning.
    • Set team priorities and ensure execution of daily load planning.
    • Provide guidance and escalation support for complex routing challenges.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.
  • Routing Optimization and Transportation Systems
    • Lead outbound routing and load planning strategy, ensuring alignment with cost, service, and operational goals.
    • Oversee the routing and planning processes within the Transportation Management System (TMS), including design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure optimal parameter configuration, scenario testing, and solution design within Blue Yonder TMS.
  • Network Design and Optimization
    • Design and optimize the outbound store delivery network for both the Traditional (Dry) and Refrigerated/Frozen (Fresh) distribution centers.
    • Conduct transportation modeling analysis to drive operational efficiencies and cost reductions while proactively accounting for network growth.
    • Continuously improve delivery footprints and store delivery schedules to enhance routing efficiency.
  • Analytics / Reporting
    • Utilize Blue Yonder TMS Software, 1010data, Power Bi, and Excel to conduct in- depth analysis of transportation network.
    • Develop and maintain automated reporting tools to identify trends, risk, and deliver recommendations to leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
    • Effective communication and ability to load, develop and motivate teams.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
    • Executes with a sense of urgency; proven decision-making capability in complex, fast-paced environments.
    • Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Advanced knowledge of data analytics software, including 1010data, Excel, and Power BI.
    • Proficiency in Blue Yonder transportation softwar.

Qualifications
Work Experience &/or Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain preferred with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
