Route Manager - Waste Industry

Job Overview
A well-established waste services company is seeking a dependable and experienced Route Manager to oversee day-to-day residential collection operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely service delivery while supporting and leading route drivers in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily residential waste collection routes and driver teams.
Monitor safety, efficiency, and service quality across all assigned routes.
Provide training, coaching, and support to drivers on procedures and expectations.
Perform ride-alongs, route audits, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
Address and resolve service-related issues and customer concerns.
Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain records, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in waste hauling, transportation, or similar field.
CDL (Class B or A) preferred or willingness to obtain.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety requirements.
Able to work in various weather conditions and early hours.
