Position Title:
Department: Roustabout Lead
Field OperationsLocation:DJ Basin, ColoradoReports to:Maintenance ForemanSalary Range:
 $25/hr. - $32/hr. 
 
Job Summary
The Roustabout Lead position is responsible for supervising a roustabout crew performing maintenance, repair, and construction activities across oil and gas well sites and production facilities in the DJ Basin. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of field operations, including facility upkeep, equipment installation, cost control, and environmental stewardship while meeting all applicable Colorado and federal regulatory requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Flowline installation and repair
  • Tank battery maintenance
  • Separator, heater treater, and production equipment maintenance
  • Valve replacement and piping modifications
  • Poly and steel pipeline repairs
  • Proficient operation of heavy equipment, skid steer, backhoe, telehandler, Etc.
  • Fencing, containment, and lease road maintenance
  • Equipment setting using cranes
  • Storm water management
  • Lease mowing and vegetation management
  • General facility maintenance and repairs
  • Pressure testing and commissioning of production equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred
  • 5–10 years of oil & gas construction and maintenance experience
  • 2–3 years of leadership or foreman experience in a field environment
  • Strong understanding of DJ Basin facility construction standards and production systems
  • Valid CDL driver’s license (Class A, Air brakes not required, Automatic only is acceptable)
  • Required certifications: OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain)
Work environment
  • Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions across the DJ Basin
  • Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, and hazardous materials
  • Physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and extended periods on foot
  • Long hours, rotational schedules, and on-call availability may be required
  • Travel between multiple job sites within the basin
