Job description

Job Title: Production Technician Location: Paulsboro, NJ Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $26.50/Hour Hours: 5:45am-6:15pm; 2-2-3 12 hour rotating schedule

Overview Specialty Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing Company is seeking production technicians to join their team!

Responsibilities

  • Perform safe, cost effective, and timely manufacture of product that is fit for intended use and meets customer requirements and production schedule, in an aseptic environment, gowning in PPE with an air helmet
  • Complete batch records in accordance with FDA and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines
  • Ensure all production/support equipment is in proper operating condition and appropriately documented with current status
  • Mix, blend, gather materials, lift 50 lb, push large reactors, and complete GMP documentation
  • Adhere to shift schedule: 12-hour shifts, 2-2-3 schedule, rotating every 4 weeks between days and nights, 5:45-6:15
  • Participate in training program Mon-Fri 8-hour days for 4 weeks, then transition to assigned shift
  • Handle 8 hours of OT during long weeks and 36-hour weeks on short weeks, with eligibility for OT after 40 hours

Requirements

  • HS diploma or BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 2 years of college credits with 5 years of experience in a chemical batch processing manufacturing facility
  • 1-5 years of GMP experience with weighing, blending, granulation in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of weights and measuring conversions
  • No facial hair (must wear an air helmet), no claustrophobia, willing to wear respirator
