Job description

Department Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide clinical nutrition care to less nutritionally complicated including
providing nutrition education to these patients as directed by and under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager or Clinical Dietitians, provide support to the Room Service Call Center staff, calculate and record results of nutrient intake analysis in the medical record, calculate specialized enteral/infant feedings, and monitor usage, place orders for enteral nutrition products.
Function/Duties of Position
  • Calculate nutrient intake analysis data and enter the results in the medical record 30 % yes
  • Monitor usage and order enteral and infant formula product
  • Provide nutrition care and education to low nutrition risk patients as directed by and under the direct supervision of the clinical dietitians
  • Provide support to the Call Center Communication Specialist and Room Service Associates, "trouble shoot" computer problems, and calculate recipes for modified infant formulas, enter menus into CBORD system as time permits and as needed
  • Develop nutrition education materials under the direction of the Clinical Nutrition Manager or Clinical Dietitians
  • Enter diets and supplements in CBORD; update CBORD to reflect nutrition orders from EPIC patient summary
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; AND
  • Two years of experience in a call/contact center or diet office, preferably in a medical or hospital setting
